Cox’s Bazar beach has become a sea of people as the extended Eid holidays draw a massive influx of tourists. Both domestic and international travelers have flocked to the world’s longest unbroken sea beach, making it one of the top holiday destinations in Bangladesh.
Between March 31 and April 4, approximately 750,000 tourists visited Cox’s Bazar, with thousands arriving daily by bus, train, and air. Upon reaching, most check into hotels briefly before heading straight to the beach.
On Friday (April 4), a visit to the four-kilometer stretch from Kolatoli to Laboni Point revealed a carnival-like atmosphere, with nearly 150,000 people enjoying the sun, sand, and sea. As temperatures soar, thousands are cooling off in the waves, making the beach the ultimate summer retreat during the festive break.
