The number of tourists at Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach has increased as the weekly holiday draws crowds to the beach. Despite the end of winter, the sea remains relatively calm, with its blue waters continuing to attract tourists.

Red and yellow flags have been hoisted along the beach, indicating that conditions are generally safe for bathing. Most tourists enter the water at the Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha points, where designated bathing zones are in place.

Authorities from Sea Safe Lifeguard have urged tourists to follow safety guidelines. According to lifeguards, specific bathing areas have been marked within these three points, where lifeguard services are available.

Boundaries have been clearly defined using red and yellow or red flags, and going beyond these zones can be dangerous.

Mohammad Osman Gani, supervisor and senior lifeguard of Sea Safe Lifeguard, said the sea remains calm at present, although some areas may have underwater holes or channels. He advised tourists to stay within designated areas where lifeguard support is available to reduce risk.

According to tide forecasts for Friday, low tide is expected at 4:46 pm, while high tide will begin from 10:38 am.

Authorities have warned that ignoring safety signals or lifeguard instructions while entering the sea could lead to serious accidents at any time.
