Right at the entrance of Cox’s Bazar’s Sugandha Beach stands a large, lush kathbadam (almond) tree that has quietly become a favourite attraction for tourists. With its dense green canopy spreading cool shade under the blue coastal sky, the tree feels like a natural refuge for weary travellers.
Visitors often pause beneath it—some to rest, others to chat, and families with children to take a comfortable break before stepping onto the beach. Many say the tree not only adds beauty but also acts as a natural welcome point to the bustling seafront.
Local vendors agree: “Because of the tree, this area feels cooler. Tourists stop here for a while, and that helps our business too.”
Amid the vibrant beach atmosphere and the bright coastal sun, this single patch of green has now become a familiar landmark at Sugandha Point.
