A large congregation of prayerers gathered at the historic Badr Mokam Masjid in Cox’s Bazar on the second day of the holy month of Ramadan to offer Tarawih prayers, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Devotees began assembling at the mosque soon after the Isha prayers. The mosque’s interior and courtyard quickly filled to capacity.
With space running out, many worshippers spread their prayer mats in the mosque compound and nearby open areas to join the congregation.
The melodious recitation of the Holy Qur’an during Tarawih transformed the entire area into a deeply spiritual setting.
A prayerer named Hamid said that since the beginning of Ramadan, they have been dedicating more time to prayer and seeking the mercy and forgiveness of Almighty Allah.
Mosque authorities said additional lighting, adequate water supply for ablution, and enhanced security measures had been arranged to ensure the comfort of the large number of attendees.
Volunteers were also working to maintain cleanliness throughout the premises.
Local residents observed that such a strong turnout on the second day of Ramadan reflects the community’s deep-rooted faith and religious devotion.
They expressed hope that this spirit of worship will continue throughout the holy month.
