Bangladesh Emerging Women’s team suffered a 36-run loss to South Africa Emerging Women in the second T20 of the three-match series, held yesterday at the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a modest target, Bangladesh faltered with the bat and were bundled out for just 79 runs in 16.2 overs. The defeat means the series is now level at 1-1. Bangladesh had earlier won the opening match by 5 wickets.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the visitors posted 115 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

South African bowler Kgothatso Rapoo was the match’s star, claiming 3 wickets for just 9 runs and earning the Player of the Match award.

The series decider will take place at the same venue on May 18.
