The Young Tigers U-18 National Cricket Tournament 2024-25 has officially begun in Cox’s Bazar. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), in collaboration with the Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association, inaugurated the tournament at the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium on Monday, January 6, at 9:00 AM. 

Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salah Uddin graced the event by formally launching the competition.

The tournament features 10 teams competing in three-day matches. Two venues, the Academy Ground and the main ground of the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium, host games from Group B. 

On the opening day, the Academy Ground hosted the match between Dhaka Metro and Rajshahi, while the main ground saw Dhaka South facing off against Barishal.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Nizam Uddin Ahmed, District Sports Officer and Member Secretary of the District Sports Association Main Uddin Milky, BCB Game Development Assistant Manager Md. Shahidul Islam, and BCB Age-Group Selector Hasibul Hossain Shanto.
