Beyond the vastness of the sea, the winding rivers that snake past fields and villages add a unique layer of beauty to Cox’s Bazar. The upazilas of Ukhiya, Ramu, and the unions of Jhilongja in Cox’s Bazar are home to several rivers, with the Naf River flowing in the south near Teknaf and the Bakkhali River in the north. In addition to these, many smaller rivers weave through the city and rural landscapes. Among these waterways, the Reju Khal stands out. For thousands of locals and the tourists who visit Cox’s Bazar every day, the Reju Khal holds countless untold stories, quietly intertwining with the rhythm of their daily lives.
