The Burning Crab Festival, an extraordinary event blending music, art, and nature, will take place at Cox’s Bazar’s Mermaid Beach Resort. Inspired by the world-renowned “Burning Man” festival in Nevada’s Black Rock City, this mega event will occur from January 29 to 31, 2025.
Organizers revealed that the Burning Man Festival is one of the largest global celebrations of art and culture, attracting artists, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts worldwide to a space defined by creativity, freedom, and self-expression. The Burning Crab Festival aims to recreate this spirit in Cox’s Bazar.
The festival will feature participation from artists, entrepreneurs, and creative minds worldwide. Renowned Japanese artist and lighting designer Jiro Endo will curate the event, promising a visual and artistic extravaganza.
This festival will transform Mermaid Beach Resort on Pechardwip on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive into a vibrant hub.
Anisul Haque Chowdhury, Managing Director of Mermaid Eco Tourism Limited, said that the event’s theme, “Take a Break,” reflects its mission to offer a thrilling escape filled with unforgettable experiences. Guests will enjoy gourmet food and beverages prepared by top chefs in the country.
The festival’s official media partner, Cox’s Bazar Life, a unique news portal, will provide exclusive coverage, including photos, news content, video features, and live updates, ensuring the event reaches its readers and audience with all its vibrancy.
