A two-day workshop on the Global Distribution System (GDS) has successfully concluded at Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU). Organized by the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the training attracted more than 50 students.
On the closing day, 27 November, certificates were awarded to the participants at a ceremony held in the university’s conference hall.
Professor Maloy Sarker, Chairman of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, presided over the event, while Dean Professor Kazi Mostain Billah attended as the chief guest.
Muhammad Saiful Haque, Country GM and CEO of Sabre—one of the leading travel technology companies in Bangladesh—also spoke at the event, expressing gratitude to the university authorities for organizing the programme efficiently and in an organized manner. CBIU Registrar Rajidul Haque and Sabre Assistant Manager Saifullah Rabbie were also present, along with other officials.
As part of the closing ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sabre and the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management of CBIU to enhance future collaboration in travel technology training.
Professor Maloy Sarker signed the agreement on behalf of CBIU, while Muhammad Saiful Haque represented Sabre.
The event concluded with a friendly photo session featuring the trainees, faculty members, and guests.
