The Chattogram Range Volleyball Tournament 2025 officially kicked off at the Cox’s Bazar Police Lines ground on Tuesday afternoon, amid much enthusiasm and a spirited opening ceremony.

Superintendent of Police for Cox’s Bazar, Md. Saifuddin Shaheen graced the event as the chief guest. He inaugurated the tournament by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and releasing a volleyball into the air, marking the formal beginning of the competition.

Among the special guests were the Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration & Finance), Mr. Nazmus Sakib Khan, the Additional SP (DSB), Alok Biswas, and other senior district police officials.

In his speech, SP Saifuddin Shaheen emphasized the importance of sports in maintaining physical and mental health. “There is no substitute for sports regarding physical fitness and mental peace. Such events strengthen bonds of camaraderie and empathy among police personnel,” he said.

Police teams from various districts under the Chattogram Range participated in the tournament on its opening day.

Organizers stated that the primary goal of the tournament is to foster a healthy and positive work environment through sports and cultural engagement.
