The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted a drop in temperatures across the country due to a depression forming over the Bay of Bengal. Over the next 24 hours, we anticipate a decrease in both daytime and nighttime temperatures, along with the likelihood of moderate to dense fog in certain regions, reducing the intensity of sunlight.

According to the 72-hour weather outlook, the depression currently lies over the southwestern Bay of Bengal, having intensified from a low-pressure system in the southeastern Bay.

The country’s northern and northeastern regions will likely experience foggy conditions from late night to early morning despite the overall weather forecast remaining dry with partly cloudy skies. Moderate-to-dense fog may disrupt visibility, while other areas might experience light-to-moderate fog.

Cox’s Bazar is also experiencing a gradual increase in winter’s chill. The cold has become more intense, particularly in the rural areas of various upazilas across the district, signaling the onset of winter’s full swing.
