As Mermaid Island prepares to host Bangladesh’s first-ever Burning Crab Festival 2025, excitement is building. With many activities underway, Mermaid Island is transformed into a vibrant showcase of creativity and color. Artist Mohammad Zahirul Islam Nayan is at the heart of this transformation, blending the colors of his imagination to bring the island to life.
Nayan, who has been dedicated to artwork for nearly 20 years, brings a wealth of experience from working in Bangladesh and abroad. Currently, he’s deeply immersed in preparing for the festival, turning Mermaid Island into a canvas of vibrant expression.
