The newly inaugurated Cox’s Bazar–Chattogram rail route has added a fresh dimension to the region’s connectivity, linking the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar with different parts of the country.

With safe and comfortable travel available for as low as Tk 200, passenger confidence on this route is steadily growing.

The visually striking Cox’s Bazar Iconic Railway Station anchors the route with its shell-inspired design.

The modern station, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, has quickly become a major tourist attraction and is recognized as one of the country’s most aesthetically notable railway stations.

Two daily trains, the Probal Express and the Soikat Express, operate on the Cox’s Bazar–Chattogram route, offering first-class chair accommodations ranging from Tk 200 to Tk 380. In addition, the Cox’s Bazar Express and the Paryatak Express connect Cox’s Bazar to Dhaka, making travel from southern Chattogram and across the country much easier and more secure.

Passenger Arafatul Islam said, “Earlier, traveling by road took a long time and was exhausting. Now, a safe and comfortable journey by train costs only Tk 200, saving both time and energy.”

Another passenger to Dhaka, Rifat Moni, added, “The Cox’s Bazar Iconic Railway Station is truly worth seeing. The clean environment and improved services make train travel much more comfortable now.”

Station Manager Golam Rabbani emphasized, “The railway is one of the most trusted means of travel. We continuously improve service quality to maintain that trust. New facilities are being added at Cox’s Bazar Railway Station to ensure passengers can travel with even greater convenience.”
