On the occasion of the Great Victory Day 2025, December 16, the day began with a state-level observance marked by a 31-gun salute at sunrise. Following this, the Cox’s Bazar District Police paid deep homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War by placing a floral wreath at the Cox’s Bazar Central Shaheed Minar.
A. N. M. Sajedur Rahman, Superintendent of Police, Cox’s Bazar, led the tribute on behalf of the Cox’s Bazar District Police.
Expressing profound respect and gratitude to the martyrs of the Great Liberation War, the district police reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the spirit of Victory Day and to performing their duties in maintaining law and order with professionalism and dedication.
Also present during the tribute were Md. Apel Mahmud, Additional DIG, Tourist Police, Cox’s Bazar Region; Abu Sayeed, Commandant (Superintendent of Police), In-Service Training Centre; Nazmus Sakib Khan, PPM, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance); Mohammad Samim Kabir, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Operations); Alok Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB), along with other senior officers and members of the Cox’s Bazar District Police.
