A fire drill was conducted in Ukhiya to raise awareness among the public about fire prevention and emergency response.
The drill took place yesterday at the Rajapalong Harinmara Bagan Pahar playground, organized by the non-governmental organization Caritas in collaboration with the Fire Service and Civil Defense.
Led by Ukhiya Fire Service Station Manager Shafiqul Islam, a team demonstrated fire extinguishing techniques, including the use of water to control flames during an emergency. They also taught how to stay safe during landslides and earthquakes.
The event was attended by Rajapalong Union Parishad Panel Chairman Syed Hamza, along with school teachers, students, and local villagers.
