This year, an exciting and unique trend has emerged at Cox’s Bazar Industrial and Trade Fair—the ‘Smoke Biscuit.’ They prepare these biscuits using a unique technique that involves dipping them in liquid nitrogen, giving them a distinctive, frosty appeal, unlike regular biscuits.

The preparation involves submerging ordinary biscuits in a container filled with liquid nitrogen for a few seconds.

During this time, the biscuits absorb the nitrogen through osmosis, becoming colder than ice. When eaten, these ultra-cold biscuits release vapour-like “smoke” from the eater’s mouth, which is nitrogen vapor, creating a visually stunning and fun experience.

This year, the fair features a stall dedicated to selling smoke Biscuits. Visitors are eager to try this innovative snack, forming crowds around the stall to experience the chilled treat. The Smoke Biscuit has become a highlight of the fair, offering a delightful surprise for attendees of all ages.

Fair organizers are optimistic that this new snack trend will gain wider popularity, paving the way for more creative and exciting food innovations like the Smoke Biscuit to enter the market.
