A breathtaking natural panorama greets travelers along the Marine Drive road in Cox’s Bazar. In Darya Nagar, vast mustard fields—their yellow blossoms now mostly shed as the crops await harvest—stretch toward the horizon. Just beyond the fields, the deep blue line of the sea creates a striking contrast, captivating tourists and passersby alike.
The scent of fading mustard flowers mingles with the salty sea breeze, producing a unique atmosphere. Many visitors stop their vehicles to take photographs, while others record videos to share on social media. Locals say this rare alignment of blooming fields and ocean backdrops is visible only for a short period each year.
Payel Namet, a tourist visiting the Marine Drive area, said the scene felt almost painted by nature itself. “On one side, the golden mustard fields, on the other, the blue sea—it truly touches the heart,” she said.
In a destination already famed for its coastline, the blend of rural charm and marine beauty has added a new layer of attraction for travelers. Especially in the soft light of late afternoon, when a golden glow settles over the fields and the sea shimmers in the background, Darya Nagar offers a view that leaves an indelible impression.
