One of the most exciting tourist experiences in Cox’s Bazar is horseback riding along the beach. The thrill of exploring the vast sea while riding a horse is truly remarkable. While horses were once a primary mode of transportation across different regions, their role in modern travel has significantly diminished. However, in Cox’s Bazar, they remain an integral part of the tourism experience.
Tourists can enjoy horseback rides at popular beach points such as Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni. Additionally, Inani and Patuartek beaches also offer this unique opportunity.
Visitors express their delight at this experience, noting that such horseback rides along the shoreline are rare in other parts of Bangladesh. “I never expected to find this in Cox’s Bazar. Riding a horse along the beach was an unforgettable experience,” said one tourist.
Meanwhile, local horse operators earn their livelihoods by offering these rides. However, concerns have been raised about the horses’ lack of proper care. Many urge that, besides generating income, ensuring the well-being of these animals should also be a priority.
