A state-of-the-art football turf ground has been inaugurated in Pekua, marking a significant addition to the region’s sports infrastructure.

This modern playing field, built above ground level, integrates innovative and advanced technology. Matches will be played under natural daylight and artificial illumination at night, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay.

Named “Pekua Sports Arena,” this mini stadium is set to captivate football enthusiasts. Designed to meet international standards, it allows for 7-a-side matches and accommodates 14 players and a referee.

The stadium is uniquely located on the fourth floor of the Kremlin Chowdhury Plaza, near College Gate Choumuhani. With its lush green turf, spectators can expect a thrilling experience, witnessing quick, skillful passes reminiscent of professional football.

Rezaul Karim, Pekua correspondent for Daily Ittefaq, spoke on the initiative, saying, “We took this step to enrich Pekua’s sports scene. We aim to establish Pekua as a prominent football destination. This arena will provide young players with a dedicated space for physical fitness and competitive matches.”

The inauguration of this mini stadium opens a new chapter for Pekua’s sports enthusiasts, offering a promising venue for football and youth engagement.
