The 74th founding anniversary of Jhinukmala Khelaghar was celebrated with a day-long program at Cox’s Bazar, bringing together children, parents, and organisers in a lively atmosphere.

Held at the Cox’s Bazar Government Girls’ High School on May 2 from 3:00pm, the programme featured a series of activities including an opening ceremony, sports competitions, prize distribution, greetings, and a cake-cutting session with children.

The event was organised under the theme “Lal Shobujer Bangladeshe— Shishur Jibon Uthuk Hese.”

The program began with the national anthem, followed by the Khelaghar song, performed collectively by members of the organization.

Various games were arranged for children, including 50-metre and 100-metre races, chocolate races, and marble races. Parents also participated in a one-leg race, adding a different dimension of enjoyment to the celebration.

The organisers said the initiative aimed to highlight the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of children, noting that fostering discipline, friendship, and leadership through play remains a core objective at Khelaghar.

Children took part enthusiastically in the activities, while parents also joined in the festive environment.

Leaders and members of Khelaghar, along with cultural activists and community representatives, attended the programme. More than 500 children and over a hundred guardians participated in the celebration.

The school grounds became a lively venue as participants played games and celebrated, marking the anniversary with joy and community spirit.
