Jimran Mohammad Saiak dreams of building a climate-resilient and equitable Bangladesh. He envisions a world where children and youth are empowered and their voices play a vital role in policy-making and implementation.

Jimran’s journey into volunteering began as early as seventh grade, initially focusing on underprivileged children. Today, he works with YouthNet Global, an organization led by young people fighting for climate justice.

As the coordinator, Jimran is dedicated to expanding and strengthening the organization’s nationwide network.

Courageously advocating for climate justice, Jimran reaches out to marginalized grassroots communities of all ages. In times of disaster, he extends his volunteer efforts to support affected people, offering both aid and hope.

His dedication earned him the Youth Champions of the Environment 2022 Champion Award.

“Due to climate change, coastal communities are at great risk,” Jimran said.

“I’m committed to ensuring that youth have a meaningful role, from shaping national policies to seeing them through to implementation. I will continue this mission in the future,” he added.
