At the Cox’s Bazar Municipal Eid Cattle Market, a massive bull named “Kala Bahadur” has become the center of attention. Weighing an impressive 28 maunds (approximately 1,050 kilograms), this striking black bull is currently priced at Tk 800,000. So far, buyers have offered up to Tk 600,000, but the seller, farmer Nurul Islam, says he’ll let it go for Tk 750,000.
During a visit to the market, this reporter saw eager crowds gathered around Kala Bahadur, which is believed to be the largest bull at this year’s fair. Buyers are visibly intrigued by its size and appearance.
Meanwhile, cattle markets across Cox’s Bazar are beginning to come alive with activity. However, transactions have yet to reach their peak. Shoppers are currently inspecting the animals and negotiating prices. Sellers expect that sales will pick up significantly in the last two days before Eid-ul-Adha.
