As winter draws to an end, Cox’s Bazar’s Marine Drive has taken on a renewed charm, captivating tourists with its scenic splendour.
With the blue sea on one side and lush green hills on the other, the iconic coastal road resembles a flawless natural canvas.
Tourists strolling along Marine Drive are visibly spellbound under bright sunshine and a gentle, cool breeze.
During this period, the beauty of Marine Drive appears even more vibrant.
Rows of green trees lining the road, scattered bushes across the hill slopes, and the rhythmic sound of ocean waves blend together to create a serene, picturesque setting.
As a result, the number of domestic and foreign visitors has been steadily increasing each day.
Tanvir Ahmed, a tourist from Dhaka, said, “The weather at the end of winter is charming. Being on Marine Drive feels like nature is at its best. The greenery and open air are truly refreshing.”
Another visitor from Chattogram said, “I have been to Cox’s Bazar many times, but Marine Drive feels different at this time of year. Seeing the hills, trees, and sea together is genuinely mesmerising.”
Tourists said that with relatively fewer crowds toward the end of winter, they can explore the area more comfortably.
While many took photographs with family and friends, others chose to spend quiet moments soaking in the tranquil surroundings.
Local residents said that increased tourist arrivals this season have a positive impact on the tourism industry.
They expressed hope that with proper conservation of its natural beauty, Marine Drive would continue to be recognised as one of the country’s most attractive tourist destinations.
