The beach at Kabita Chattar Point in Cox’s Bazar is usually quiet in the early morning. But on Fridays, the weekend holiday, students and professionals gather to play football on the soft sands.

Known as beach football or sand football, this casual form of football has been played informally on the shores for many years, even before any formal rules were introduced.

Due to the soft and uneven surface of the sand, this style of football requires an entirely different approach, demanding more immediate skill and agility. Played on a smaller, more compact field than traditional football, players can score from anywhere on the sandy surface, making each game unpredictable and exciting.
