On 23 June 2026, Mukti Cox’s Bazar successfully organized a “Fish Fingerling Release” event at Camp-2W. The event was held under the Integrated Food Security and Livelihoods (IFSL) project, being implemented by Mukti Cox’s Bazar with funds from Japan Platform and support from IVY Japan.
The event, inaugurated by Md. Al Imran (CiC of Camp-2W), was attended by Syed Lutful Kabir Chowdhury (Deputy Chief Executive of Mukti Cox’s Bazar), representatives from the Camp Administration, and the IFSL Project team.
Through this initiative, 03 community ponds involving 30 beneficiaries have been supported, contributing to improved food security and nutrition.
Afterwards, the Deputy Chief Executive met with pond beneficiaries and engaged in discussions on pond management, sustainability, future planning, and livelihood opportunities to ensure the long-term success of the initiative.
During the event, the Camp in Charge highly appreciated Mukti Cox’s Bazar’s efforts in pond development and community-based aquaculture initiatives as this will enhance food security and nutrition of the Rohingya community.
