The National Safe Roads Day was celebrated at Cox’s Bazar along with an awareness discussion under the theme, “The Commitment of Students and Citizens: Safe Roads for All.”
The event was organized on Tuesday morning by the District Administration and BRTA at the Shaheed ATM Jafar Alam Conference Hall.
The discussion was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin.
Speakers at the event included Additional District Magistrate Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, BRTA Assistant Director Uthoyainu Chowdhury, Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. Titu Chandra Shil, President of Cox’s Bazar Press Club Mahbubur Rahman, and President of the District Safe Roads Movement, Jashim Uddin Kishore.
Officials from various government and non-government agencies, along with vehicle owners, drivers, and workers, were present at the event.
