After a long wait, rail connectivity between the country and the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar has brought visible changes to the area.
In particular, the stretch of railway passing through South Mithachari in Ramu has become a new attraction for local residents.
Flanked by vast green paddy fields, the gleaming railway line runs straight through the landscape, creating a picturesque scene.
The location becomes especially charming in the soft light of late afternoon or in the early morning mist. As a result, people of all ages gather there daily.
Local resident Zafrul Hasnat said that previously there were few open natural spaces to spend leisure time.
Now, the expansive green fields beside the railway line have turned into a new recreational spot.
Families visit with their loved ones, take photos, and enjoy quality time. The presence of young people is particularly noticeable.
According to locals, the launch of rail services has not only improved transportation but also created a new aesthetic environment.
Many believe that this part of South Mithachhari could eventually gain recognition as a small-scale tourist spot.
However, community members have urged visitors to remain cautious while walking near the railway tracks. Maintaining a safe distance from moving trains is essential.
Overall, the new railway line in Cox’s Bazar is more than just a mode of transport—it has become a center of leisure and a fresh attraction for nature lovers.
