November marks the start of Cox’s Bazar’s tourist season, but the influx of visitors has already begun. Many tourists, upon arriving, rush to bathe in the sea without taking necessary precautions, which often leads to accidents.
Before entering the water, it is crucial to be aware of tidal conditions, follow flag warnings, and heed lifeguards’ instructions.
Sea Safe Lifeguard has reported that red flags have been hoisted on the beach due to underwater holes and canals. These flags are expected to remain for the next week.
Extra caution is required when the red flag is up, and swimming beyond knee-deep water is prohibited. Tides will start around 4:30 PM to evening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, while low tide will occur between 10 AM and noon.
