The five-match T20 series between Bangladesh and Pakistan U-19 women’s cricket teams kicked off in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday, with Pakistan emerging victorious in the opening encounter at the Academy Ground of the Cox’s Bazar International Cricket Stadium.
Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and were bowled out for 88 runs in 19.4 overs. Chasing a target of 89, Bangladesh U-19 struggled with the bat and were dismissed for 75 in 19.5 overs, falling 13 runs short of the victory.
Sadia Islam is leading Bangladesh in the series, while Iman Naser is captaining Pakistan’s squad.
The remaining matches of the series will take place at the same venue on 5, 7, 10, and 12 December. Pakistan U-19 women will conclude their tour of Bangladesh on 13 December.
