The district police in Cox’s Bazar have intensified field-level monitoring to ensure an uninterrupted supply of fuel and to prevent artificial shortages.

On Sunday, ANM Shajadur Rahman, the Superintendent of Police, visited several fuel stations across the district as part of this initiative. He carefully examined the stations’ supply chains, sales processes, and fuel stock levels during the inspection.

Authorities maintained strict vigilance to ensure that no fuel was being hoarded to create artificial shortages. The authorities also issued firm warnings to relevant personnel in this regard.

The Superintendent instructed fuel station owners and employees to ensure proper measurement during fuel distribution.

He also emphasized strengthening security measures at the stations and maintaining discipline among customers.

Moreover, he directed that fuel should not be supplied to motorcyclists without helmets or to vehicles lacking valid documentation. He stated that these measures aim to uphold law and order and improve road safety.

Sources indicated that the district police will continue these monitoring activities in the coming days.
