The 14th anniversary of Small Art School was celebrated with vibrant programs in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday. The day-long event featured a range of activities highlighting creativity and cultural expression.

The celebration began at 10 a.m. with an art exhibition and a drawing competition titled “Draw the Picture of Your Mind.” Students from various art schools participated, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills.

The formal inauguration began at 4 p.m. with the national anthem, followed by a colorful procession. The event also included a cultural program featuring songs, dances, drama, solo performances, recitations, and storytelling sessions. At the end of the program, prizes were awarded to the winners, and a public art activity was held.

Guests at the event included Mridul Kanti Dhar, former general secretary of Udichi Cox’s Bazar; Nilotpal Barua, vice president; Ashutosh Rudra, president; artist and director of Open Art School Aranya Sharma; teacher Mostak Ahmed; lyricist of Penaoa Band Yasir Arafat; young artist Mongla One; Monir Mobarak, general secretary of Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi Cox’s Bazar; and singer Reshmi Das.

Art schools that participated included Shyamal Prakriti Art School (Moricha branch), SM Sultan Art School (Kot Bazar branch), Jagoron Art School (Ramu, Kauarkhop branch), and SM Sultan Art School (Cox’s Bazar city branch).

The event was chaired by the founder of Small Art School, Jiyantu Raju. Organizers said such initiatives play an important role in inspiring the next generation of artists.
