Rahmat Ullah Paan Bhandar in Bangla Bazar, Jhilongja Union, is the most famous betel shop in Cox’s Bazar.

Here, betel leaves are available at prices ranging from Tk7 to Tk25. Along with betel and areca nuts, the ingredients include black cumin, ghee, coconut, carrot, jelly, cherries, cashews, almonds, dried plums, dates, raisins, and coconut.

People from various parts of Cox’s Bazar flock to this shop to enjoy its unique betel offerings. Located along the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway, passersby often stop their vehicles to buy betel from the shop.

Speaking to Cox’s Bazar Life, the shop owner, Rahmat Ullah, said he started selling betel on September 16, 1996. Over the years, the shop has gained widespread popularity, leading to a flourishing business.
