Persistent heavy rainfall continues to lash Cox’s Bazar, bringing some disruption to daily life while revealing the breathtaking beauty of the coastal district’s iconic Marine Drive.
Nature lovers and visitors are flocking to the scenic road to enjoy the unique monsoon landscape, where the roaring sea, lush green hills and rain-washed vegetation combine to create a striking panorama.
Rows of trees lining both sides of the Marine Drive have turned greener and fresher after days of rain.
Dark clouds hanging over the Bay, powerful waves crashing onto the shore and the misty, rain-soaked hills have transformed the route into one of the district’s most captivating sights.
Many visitors stop their vehicles along the road to admire the scenery, taking photographs and videos to capture the seasonal beauty.
Local visitor Russel stated that despite the inconvenience caused by the continuous rain, the beauty of Marine Drive during the monsoon was indescribable.
“The greenery, the hills and the sea together make it feel as though nature has been renewed,” he said.
Authorities, however, have urged visitors to remain cautious as continuous rainfall has increased the risk of landslides and waterlogging.
The local administration has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel in hilly areas and to exercise maximum caution while travelling along Marine Drive during adverse weather conditions.
