With more than six decades of heritage behind the Sayeman name, Simon Beach Resort offers accommodation, dining and recreational facilities near Kolatoli beach in Cox’s Bazar.
Located beside the beach in Kolatoli, the five-star-standard resort began operations in 2015.
The Sayeman brand dates back to 1964, when a private luxury hotel opened in Baharchara and became the first privately operated luxury hotel in Cox’s Bazar, according to the resort. The property now operates as Sayeman Heritage.
Sayeman Beach Resort has 245 rooms, ranging from standard accommodation to luxury suites. Most rooms offer sea views, except for the Super Deluxe category, according to the hotel.
Facilities include an infinity pool, a separate children’s pool, a gymnasium, a spa, a salon, a garden, and 24-hour room service.
Guests can also access beach chairs and recreational activities such as jet skiing, surfing boats and kayaking.
The resort has several dining outlets, including Casablanca Restaurant, Surf Side Cafe, Sunset Bar & Grill, Yume Pool Cafe and Sea Level Cafe.
For corporate meetings, conferences and social events, the property offers several venues. Marina Ballroom can accommodate 450 people, while Carnival Hall can accommodate 150.
The Tides and Waves meeting rooms can accommodate 32 and 21 people respectively.
Other facilities include airport shuttle services, welcome drinks, buffet breakfast, 1.5 litres of water per room daily, tea and coffee-making facilities and Wi-Fi. Guests can also use the infinity pool and fitness centre during designated hours.
Financial Controller Asaduzzaman Noor said Sayeman Beach Resort was a five-star-standard hotel licensed by the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation.
Explaining the brand’s name, he said it was derived from the name of Syedur Rahman, the father of late freedom fighter and engineer Mosharraf Hossain.
Noor said the resort had ranked as Cox’s Bazar’s top hotel on Tripadvisor for the past five years, according to the platform’s ratings.
He added that many guests returned because they were satisfied with the service.
The resort is currently offering a 40 per cent discount, which is scheduled to remain available until November 30, according to its management.
Tourists are advised to contact the hotel to confirm room rates, availability, and the offer terms before booking.
