Over the weekend, Cox’s Bazar saw a large number of tourists, many of whom visited the beach on Friday and Saturday.

However, Friday evening’s stormy wind affected the beach conditions. The crater on the beach has become more active, along with numerous pits and holes. As a result, swimming conditions in the sea remain challenging.

Red flags have been hoisted at the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points due to unsafe sea conditions.

According to the Sea Safe Lifeguard in charge, Sifat Ullah Sifat, the weather along the beach has been favorable for the past week, but massive winds have been blowing since this morning.

“Bathing in the sea is restricted to below knee-depth, and lifeguards are stationed at three points. Tourists are allowed to bathe only within the areas marked by the lifeguard flags,” he added.

According to the lifeguards, today’s high tide was at 06:52 PM, and the low tide will be at 12:26 PM.
