The Netflix authority unveiled the new one-minute teaser video of the popular K-drama Squid Games 2 at its annual Geeked Week event.
The authority also announced that Squid Game season 2’s release date is December 26, 2024, which, yes, has, in fact, squeezed in before the end of 2024 as promised.
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk is thrilled about what’s in store when Squid Game Season 2 premieres on December 26.
“I do have a lot on my shoulders, but I’ll make sure it’s worth the wait,” he told Netflix.
Of course, it has been over three years since the first one was released, which is probably one of the longest waits between seasons of a show.
With over 142 million member households and 1.65 billion viewing hours in its first four weeks, “Squid Game” is now the most-watched Netflix series in 94 countries.
