Kabir Ahmad has been collecting baby shrimp ( shrimp fry) since 1988, alongside farming betel nuts and raising cows, which helps support his family. Despite his other tasks, Kabir has a passion for collecting baby shrimp.

He said that in 1995, the price of 100 baby shrimp was Tk250, and they were sold directly to hatcheries. However, due to the involvement of middlemen, the price has dropped significantly to just Tk20 per 100 pieces.

Despite the price decrease, Kabir still earns Tk700-Tk800 daily by selling fry.
