Artist Yeaseer Arafat’s solo exhibition, “Cox’s Bazar Diary”, has generated significant interest among visitors. The exhibition is being held at the central Shaheed Minar premises in Cox’s Bazar.
The exhibition, originally scheduled to conclude on March 23, the opening day, has been extended until March 25 due to high visitor demand. It is open daily from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
The exhibition features 24 artworks capturing various aspects of Cox’s Bazar, including its natural landscapes, roads, architecture, daily life, and cultural heritage, all expressed through the artist’s unique vision.
Arafat noted that the turnout on the opening day was remarkable. “Yesterday was extraordinary! It felt as if many rivers had merged into the sea,” he said. He explained that “Cox’s Bazar Diary” is his effort to portray the city’s multidimensional life and character on canvas.
He added that beyond tourism, the exhibition reflects the lives, culture, and diversity of the people of Cox’s Bazar in both figurative and abstract forms. Arafat also hopes to inspire the younger generation to represent their city through art.
The artist expressed his wish that visitors from across the country could carry a piece of Cox’s Bazar’s colours and character with them through the artworks.
The exhibition has already received an enthusiastic response among art lovers and continues to attract visitors eager to experience the city’s essence through Arafat’s perspective.
