After a few days of unsettled weather, intense heat has returned to Cox’s Bazar, causing discomfort in daily life for both residents and tourists.
A sudden rise in temperature has made conditions increasingly unpleasant, with many people avoiding going outside unless necessary due to the scorching sun and high humidity.
According to the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office, temperatures in the district are likely to remain between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius over the next week.
However, high humidity levels are expected to make the heat feel more intense, said Assistant Meteorologist Abdul Hannan.
Doctors have advised people to remain cautious to avoid heat-related health risks.
They recommend limiting exposure to direct sunlight, drinking plenty of water, and consuming light meals. Extra care has been urged for children and the elderly.
Residents said that after several days of rain and cloudy conditions, the sudden heat has disrupted daily routines.
Tourists visiting the sea beach have also reported discomfort while moving around under the sun.
Meteorologists said such weather is typical for this time of year, but the higher humidity is making the heat feel more severe.
They advised everyone to remain cautious until conditions improve.
