Even after the end of government holidays, the influx of tourists has not declined at Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach, one of the country’s leading tourist destinations.
The entire stretch across the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points—covering nearly 3.5 kilometers—continues to remain lively, with thousands of tourists spending time with family and friends.
The beach alone does not confine tourist presence. Various scenic spots along Marine Drive, including Himchari, Inani, and Patuartek, also attract tourists. Many are also travelling to Teknaf Zero Point for sightseeing.
Abul Kashem Sikder, president of the Cox’s Bazar Hotel-Motel and Guest House Owners’ Association, said the tourism sector has become vibrant due to the combined effect of Eid holidays, the March 26 observance and weekly holidays.
He also said that even after the holidays, thousands of tourists are still arriving daily, and hotels and motels are receiving a strong response.
Meanwhile, tourist police, the district administration’s tourism cell, and lifeguard personnel are working continuously to ensure tourists safety.
Overall, the continued presence of tourists after the holidays has helped restore vitality to Cox’s Bazar’s tourism industry.
