A directive meeting on preventing tourist harassment was held in Cox’s Bazar with key stakeholders from the tourism sector.

The meeting took place on Monday (February 17) at the conference room of the Tourist Police Cox’s Bazar Region. It was presided over by Additional DIG Apel Mahmud, the head of Tourist Police Cox’s Bazar Region.

Various representatives attended the meeting, including those from beach bike associations, horse-riding organizations, jet ski operators, beach photographers, kitkat vendors, and third-gender groups.

According to the Tourist Police, the primary objective of this initiative is to ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar. The stakeholders were given guidelines and recommendations to enhance tourist-friendly services and prevent harassment.
