Following a two-day weekend, offices reopen tomorrow, but Monday marks the Victory Day holiday. Many employees have taken Sunday off, creating a four-day long vacation until December 16. Additionally, most schools have wrapped up their annual exams, prompting families to head to Cox’s Bazar for a seaside retreat. As a result, the beaches and nearby tourist spots are teeming with visitors.

General Secretary Mukim Khan of the Kolatoli Marine Drive Hotel Owners’ Association confirmed that all hotel rooms remain fully booked until December 16. “We have already reserved 95% of the hotel rooms for this month,” he stated.

A visit to Sugandha Point in the morning revealed a bustling beach scene. The southern Kolatoli and northern Laboni Points were equally crowded. Many tourists enjoyed a refreshing dip in the sea, while others rode horses, water bikes, and beach buggies. Belal Hossain, assistant supervisor of the district administration’s beach services, said, “From morning till evening, thousands of tourists are flocking to the beach.”

Hossainul Islam Bahadur, General Secretary of the Sea Cruise Operators Owners’ Association of Bangladesh, reported that all seats on St. Martin-bound cruise ships are fully booked through December 16.

To ensure a safe and hassle-free experience for tourists, Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police have intensified patrols. Md. Abul Kalam, Assistant Superintendent of the Tourist Police, stated, “We have deployed additional personnel to ensure the security of visitors.”

Amid the holiday rush, Cox’s Bazar has transformed into a vibrant hub of joy, adventure, and unforgettable seaside experiences.
