Tourists thronged Cox’s Bazar sea beach on Monday as they gathered in large numbers to enjoy the unique beauty of the monsoon season.
Kolatoli Point, which typically attracts fewer visitors than other sections of the beach, saw a significant influx of tourists from the morning onward. Similar crowds were also observed at Sugandha and Laboni points, turning the beach into a lively destination despite the rainy season.
A visit to the beach showed that many tourists were taking a dip in the Bay of Bengal, enjoying the waves and the refreshing weather. Others were seen taking part in recreational activities, including jet-ski rides, beach bike rides, and horse riding along the shoreline.
Tourist Brinji Sonali said that Cox’s Bazar takes on a different character during the monsoon.
“The beach looks incredibly beautiful in the rain. Enjoying the sea amid the monsoon weather is a unique experience,” she said.
The beach remained bustling throughout the day as visitors embraced the cooler temperatures, cloudy skies, and occasional rain showers, which added a different dimension to the seaside landscape.
To ensure tourists’ safety, members of the Sea Safe Lifeguard continued their duties along the beach. Personnel from the Tourist Police, beach management team, and executive magistrates from the tourism cell were also deployed at key points to maintain security and assist tourists.
