In the wake of the tragic plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, which resulted in multiple casualties, Tuesday’s HSC and equivalent examinations have been officially postponed.

The announcement was made by Youth and Sports Ministry Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, who posted from his verified Facebook account around 3 AM on Monday night, stating:
“Tomorrow’s HSC exam has been postponed.”

Mahfuj Alam, Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, also shared a post confirming the postponement. His post stated that he had met with the Education Advisor, who confirmed the decision to suspend Tuesday’s exams due to the tragic incident.

Md. Mamunur Rashid, Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, further verified the decision around 3:30 AM, noting that the postponement came in direct response to the fatal crash.

On Monday afternoon, a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a building on the Milestone campus in Diabari, Uttara, shortly after 1 PM. The catastrophic incident claimed the lives of at least 22 people and left over 150 injured.

In response to the tragedy, the government has declared a one-day national mourning on Tuesday, according to an official notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday.
