Cool winter breezes have turned the nighttime beach of Cox’s Bazar into a memorable experience for tourists. From evening until late at night, travel enthusiasts can be seen strolling along the shoreline, taking photographs, or spending joyful moments with family and loved ones, as the gentle sea breeze blends with the deep blue hues of the ocean.
Tourists say the harmony between the rolling waves and the crisp winter air at night is truly captivating. The moonlit glow reflecting on the sea, combined with stars scattered across the night sky, creates a scene of rare and calming beauty.
Local vendor Rubel said that the number of small businesses catering to nighttime visitors increases during winter.
“There is a growing demand for tea, coffee, hot spicy snacks, and light refreshments at night. Many tourists come to enjoy a cup of hot tea or fried snacks while feeling the cool sea breeze,” he said.
In one corner of the beach, groups of young people can be seen dancing to music, while nearby families sit together, listening to the soothing sound of the waves and sharing conversations. Such nighttime scenes offer a refreshing escape from the fatigue of city life.
Tourism stakeholders noted that winter night tourism in Cox’s Bazar is steadily increasing, creating new opportunities for local businesses.
