Every inch of Cox’s Bazar, the world’s longest sea beach, brims with people, from the golden dunes to the roaring waves. Visitors from home and abroad have flocked to the beach with their families to enjoy the weekend in the coastal city.
Despite the festive atmosphere, lifeguards remain on high alert as signal No. 3 has been raised at the seaport due to rough conditions in the Bay of Bengal.
People from various parts of the country have flocked to the beach, taking advantage of the weekend.

Local shell and pearl traders said tourists are showing considerable interest in buying seashell ornaments, pearls, dried fish, and traditional pickles—adding a boost to the beachside economy.
Md. Ruhul Amin, Senior Lifeguard of Sea Safe Lifeguard Organisation, said, “Most tourists are enjoying sea bathing, but as the sea is rough, we’ve hoisted red flags along the beach to ensure safety. Our lifeguard teams are on full alert to prevent any untoward incident.”
