A powerful youth-led strike was held in Cox’s Bazar to raise awareness and unite youth voices against gender-based violence (GBV).
The strike was organized by EMBOLDEN Bangladesh with the support of ActionAid Bangladesh’s GOLD Project, bringing together 10 youth-led organizations committed to promoting justice, equality, and safety for all.
Magic Initiative, YASID, CHRDF, SSD Youth Foundation, JYDA, YOSD, Prottasha Foundation, YARJ, Save the Women & Children, and EMBOLDEN Bangladesh.
During the strike, young participants raised placards, delivered slogans, and formed a human chain to demand an end to GBV, ensure the safety of women and girls, and strengthen access to justice and equality.
Speakers at the event emphasized that youth unity is one of the most potent forces in combating all forms of violence.
