A stakeholder consultation workshop was held in Cox’s Bazar to identify and select potential agricultural entrepreneurs from the region.
The event, organized by the Office of the Agricultural Marketing Officer under the “Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh,” took place yesterday at the conference hall of Arunoday School.
As the chief guest, Mohammad Siraj Uddin Hossain, Director of the Department of Agricultural Marketing in Chattogram, attended the workshop. Anisuzzaman Biplob, Cox’s Bazar District Agricultural Marketing Officer, presided over the session.
Among other speakers were Shah Md. Morshed Kader, Agricultural Marketing Officer of Bandarban, Md. Kutub Uddin, Deputy Director of the Horticulture Centre, and Subrata Biswas, Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs.
During the workshop, participants were briefed on the program’s objectives, target impact areas, and strategies related to five key agricultural products. 50 aspiring entrepreneurs from three upazilas of Cox’s Bazar participated in the session.
The initiative aims to promote sustainable agricultural development and entrepreneurship in rural Bangladesh, focusing on nutrition, resilience, and inclusive economic growth.
