The people of Cox’s Bazar are reeling under an intense heatwave. Blazing sunlight and soaring temperatures have made daily life unbearable.
The sun mercilessly beats down from early morning, and by noon, the scorching heat nearly makes it impossible to stay outdoors.
In search of some relief, locals have turned to cold water. Teenage boys can be seen splashing their faces with cool water, while others pour bottles of water over their heads, hoping to ease the relentless heat for a moment.
We observed such scenes along the Marine Drive road near Dariyanagar, where the sweltering weather has disrupted the lives of both residents and workers.
Everyone is struggling to cope with the blistering sun and suffocating humidity, from day laborers to shop employees.
According to the local meteorological office, the ongoing heatwave, fueled by persistent sunshine and humid southern winds, will likely continue for the next few days, bringing further discomfort to the people of Cox’s Bazar.
