The tourist season is in full swing, with thousands of visitors flocking daily to the Cox’s Bazar sea beach.

The winter beach presents a calm and serene scene, as the blue waters continue to captivate tourists. Red-and-yellow flags have been hoisted along the shoreline, indicating that swimming in the sea is currently safe.

Due to the colder weather, fewer people are entering the water during the early morning hours.

However, as the sun rises, tourists gradually begin enjoying the sea, floating and bathing in the salty waters.

Most visitors are bathing at three designated points—Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha. For safety reasons, Sea Safe Lifeguard authorities have urged tourists to strictly follow specific guidelines.

According to lifeguards, designated bathing zones have been clearly marked at these three points where lifeguard services are available.

These areas are identified with red-and-yellow flags or red flags to define safe boundaries. Tourists have been warned that entering the water outside designated zones can be dangerous.

Mohammad Osman Gani, supervisor and senior lifeguard of Sea Safe Lifeguard, told Cox’s Bazar Life that the sea is currently calm due to the winter season, which is why red-and-yellow flags have been displayed.

He advised tourists to bathe only within the designated areas at the three points where lifeguard services are operational to avoid any risk.

According to tide schedules, low tide is expected at 2:45 pm, while high tide is expected to begin at 9:08 pm.

Authorities also cautioned that ignoring warning signals or lifeguard instructions while bathing could lead to serious accidents at any time.
